In celebration of World Food Day 2024, held on October 16, with the theme “The right to food for a better life and a better future,” the PSFA team joined hands with the Iliso Care Society in Section C, Khayelitsha, to prepare and serve hot meals to 1,000 vulnerable residents. Alongside the meals, each person also received a food parcel.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to SA Harvest, The Tiger Brands Foundation, Lucky Star, and The Noodle Factory for their generous contributions to the food parcels. Your support made a significant difference in ensuring these individuals enjoyed a warm meal and essential food supplies to take home.
Based in Section 2, Khayelitsha, the Iliso Care Society, a registered non-profit organisation, is dedicated to community upliftment and operates across the Western Cape and Eastern Cape. Their impactful programmes and services include:
🔸 Food Garden
🔸 Home-Based Care
