Carmen Stevens from the Carmen Stevens Foundation to Aloe Junior High, Mitchells Plain during lunch today to see the schools vegetable garden and feeding programme in action.. The Carmen Stevens Foundation is one of PSFA’s major adopt-a-school donors that provided over R2.2 million in funding, adopting 28 schools on our feeding programme. Aloe Junior High is one of these schools where a portion of the funding, is enabling PSFA to provide 329 learners affected by poverty with daily nutritious breakfasts and lunches for an entire year! The Foundation also provided this school with funding to establish a vegetable garden. Congratulations to the staff and learners at Aloe Juniro High for maintaining the garden, which looks absolutely fantastic! The vegetables grown are used to compliment the meals provided by PSFA.
